Youhanabad tragedy worst example of terrorism, says Chaudhry Nisar`
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar has said that the Youhanabad tragedy is the worst example of terrorism.
In a media briefing on Monday, he said that terrorists do not belong to any religion. “The people who took law into their hands have forwarded the agenda of enemies,” he said. “Terrorists are now targeting soft targets, including mosques, churches and schools, in desperation. We should remain united to foil their nefarious designs.”
The minister said that all is not well in the Interior Ministry. “We neither put the name of any person on the exit control list (ECL) on political basis nor gave the phone of a journalist, politician or any other person to the ISI for recording it,” he said.
In response to MQM leader Asif Hasnain’s demand for a commission on a raid on Nine Zero during a meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Interior, Ch Nisar said that the MQM’s reservations will be removed.
“I will consult the Sindh government for forming a commission on the Nine Zero raid,” he said.
The minister also briefed the committee about the performance of the ministry.
