Zainab murder case: Committee declares Shahid Masood’s claims baseless
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The committee formed to probe into the claims made by Dr Shahid Masood, in its report submitted to the Supreme Court declared the anchor’s allegations baseless in the rape and murder case of minor seven-year-old Zainab Ansari.
Sources said that the report submitted in the apex court stated that the allegations of accused Imran Ali being a member of international mafia were not proved, while no evidence could be found into television anchor’s claims of the convict’s political association.
The report further stated that the allegations of Imran Ali’s 37 bank accounts were not proved, while the evidence of violent child pornography in Kasur were also baseless.
Sources said that the committee has declared all 18 allegations leveled by the anchorperson as baseless.
The allegations regarding Imran Ali being beaten in the custody were not proved, while the claims that the convict sent minor girl’s picture to international viewers before committing the crime were found to be false.
