Zil-Hajj moon not sighted in Saudi Arabia, Eidul Azha on Sept 1

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Zil-Hajj crescent has not been sighted in Saudi Arabia, which means Eidul Azha will be on September 01 (Friday) this year.

Based on the sighting of the moon, the month of Zil-Hajj will begin on today, September 22.

Therefore, August 31 will be the (Day of Arafah), and September 01 will be the first day of Eidul Azha.

On the other hand, Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet today for sighting of Zil-Haj moon. Committee Chairman Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman will chair the meeting.


Meetings of all zonal and district Ruet-e-Hilal Committees will also be held at their respective Headquarters.

There is a low chance of sighting the new moon on the evening of Aug 22 as the weather is expected partly cloudy/cloudy in most parts of the country.
