Zimbabwe put up 175 runs on board against Pakistan in second T20
LAHORE (92 News) – Batting first after winning the toss, Zimbabwe put up a strong show scoring 175 at a loss of three wickets in the second T20 of the two-match series.
Openers led the team to a strong start with the opening partnership taking the total to 108 before the first wicket fell. S Williams remained the highest scorer with 58 runs.
Earlier, Zimbabwe captain Elton Chigumbura decided to bat against Pakistan in the second T20, like he did in the first game on Friday. He saidhe hoped to win the match in the two-match series to even the loss they faced in last match.
Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi made three three changes in the squad with new faces Nauman Anwar, Amaad Waseem and Muhammad Rizwan coming in, in place of Sarfraz Ahmad, Muhammad Hafeez and Wahab Riaz. “I think it is the best time to give start to fresh players,” Shahid said while talking about the strategy. “The home crowd full of energy is the best time for new players to make their starts.”
