LAHORE (92 News) – Petitions filed by Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz – seeking removal of her name from exit control list (ECL) and return of her passport – has been delayed on Thursday. According to the details garnered, Maryam Nawaz’s ECL removal plea is expected to be heard after winter vacations of court. The pleas of Vice president of PML-N were fixed for hearing today by a bench, comprising Justice Ali Baqar Najafi and Justice Anwarul Haq Pannu, but both the judges are on the winter vacations. Lawyer of Maryam Rafaqat Dogar requested the court that due to unavailability of judges, court should transfer her pleas to another bench. Chief Justice Sardar Shamim Khan refused her request and said that pleas will be heard by the bench which is already hearing the case. On the recommendations of the sub-committee, the federal cabinet unanimously rejected Maryam Nawaz’s application to go abroad. The report will be submitted to the court concerned. The cabinet members were of the view that the Sharif family is fleeing from the country one by one. “Earlier, Shehbaz Sharif went abroad and now Maryam Nawaz wants to flee on the pretext of the treatment of her father,” they opined. Meanwhile, the cabinet approved a 15 percent decrease in the prices of 89 medicines. Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Health Regulations Zafar Mirza said that the decision had been made in the light of the Medicine Price Policy 2018. He said that they would soon announce the National Medicine Policy.
