Month-long pre-Hajj flight to commence from July 4

ISLAMABAD (Web desk) – A month-long pre-Hajj flight operation will commence from 4th of next month. An official of the Ministry of Religious Affairs said the details of flight schedule have already been uploaded on the ministry’s website. He said the intending pilgrims are also being informed about relevant details through SMS and intimation letters. Government pilgrims would go to Saudi Arabia through three airlines including PIA, Saudi Airline and Air Blue. The official said the intending pilgrims should report to their respective Madinat ul Hujjaj two days prior to their flights for getting tickets and seal pack medicine.
Hajj ritual training of second balloting successful pilgrims begins
The Hajj ritual training of successful intending pilgrims of second hajj balloting has begun in their respective Haji camps.

According to Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, the training programmes will continue till departing of the pilgrims to Hajj.

The ministry said focus of the training is on enabling the first timers to perform Hajj rituals in accordance with the teachings of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him). The training also covers how to wear ‘Ahram’ and observe sanctity of the holy places besides performing rituals at Madina and manners of offering prayers at Masjid-e-Nabvi and `Salam’ at `Roza e Rasool (Peace Be Upon Him).” The flight schedule of government scheme pilgrims would be announced on 19th of this month. The ministry has directed the successful pilgrims of second balloting to deposit their dues and passports in their respective banks by 14th of this month and also ensure biometric verification by the same date. The ministry has made mandatory the availability of at least one year valid machine readable passport with each Hajj applicant.
9,474 people selected in second balloting under Govt Hajj Scheme
As many as 9,474 people have been selected in the second balloting under the Government Hajj Scheme. Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Religious Affairs Noorul Haq Qadri said that the successful intending pilgrims would be informed through SMS. “Our Hajj quota is 200,000.”
