PM forms 13-member committee for Kamyab Jawan Program

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has constituted a 13-member Steering Committee for Kamyab Jawan Program. The prime minister as head will chair the committee. Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar and federal ministers from education, economic affairs and IT Board are part of the committee. The advisers on finance and commerce as well as federal minister for planning have also been nominated as committee members. The committee will present suggestions of new government projects to Prime Minister regarding youth. The committee has been delegated authority of strategy planning and program monitoring. It will assist projects starting under Kamyab Jawan Program. Earlier, PM Imran Khan inaugurated the Rs100 billion Kamyab Jawan Program. Addressing the ceremony, the prime minister said that youth are future of Pakistan and its destiny depends on them. “The PTI government strongly believes in merit and transparency and summary of Kamyab Jawan program is a program of merit.” Imran Khan said that only those nations move forward in the world that follow the rule of merit. “As a result of establishment of state of Madina by Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), the Muslims ruled the world for over a thousand years. Meritocracy and uprightness are hallmarks of the state of Madinah which helped it succeed,” he said. More than million young people will be benefited through this scheme. Under this program, the educated, talented and skilled youth will get opportunities of development and progress. Briefing journalists about the programme, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar said the programme is fully focused on ensuring employment opportunities to the youth, providing them proper platforms to excel. Usman Dar said no amount of people’s tax is incurred on the programme as it is supported by UN Development Programme. He said the government also devises state of the art digital platform for the youth to help them achieve their goals of a bright future.
