Qureshi says humanity is bleeding in Occupied Kashmir
LONDON (92 News) – Minister for Foreign Affairs Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that humanity is bleeding in Occupied Kashmir.
Addressing an International Conference in London tonight, he said that India is committing grave human rights violations in occupied Kashmir. “Humanity is bleeding, the valley is burning and human rights are being negated in Indian Occupied Kashmir,” he added.
The foreign minister called upon the Indian authorities to repeal black laws, ban use of pellet guns and initiate enquiry in human rights violations against innocent Kashmiris.
FM Qureshi urged international media to raise the ground realities of held Kashmir before the world. He said that the United Nations human rights report on Kashmir calls for international inquiry into multiple violations against innocent Kashmiris.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi called upon the international community to break its silence over the Indian atrocities in Occupied Kashmir. He said India is using different tactics to change the demography of the held Valley.
The minister said India is continuously targeting general public across the Line of Control to divert the attention of the world community from its atrocities in occupied Kashmir. He further said Pakistan will continue its support for Kashmiris in their just struggle for right to self-determination.
Addressing the conference, Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed has said that right to self-determination is the fundamental right of the people of Occupied Kashmir. He also said India is using sexual abuse as an instrument of torture in Held Valley. He said that Kashmiris are not alone in their just struggle.
The senator said India is committing massacre in Occupied Kashmir.
Pakistan to raise voice against Indian brutalities in IHK: Qureshi
Earlier, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said on Sunday that Pakistan would raise strong voice to highlight Indian persecution and brutalities being perpetrated in Indian-held Jammu Kashmir (IHK).
FM left for London today to attend functions being organised in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day. He will address an international conference on Kashmir in the British Parliament on February 4 (Monday).
The foreign minister will also attend an exhibition in Park Lane on February 5 (Tuesday). While talking to informal conversation, he said that Kashmir is an important cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy with Pakistan having a clear stance on the issue.
“We will raise a strong voice to highlight India’s continued atrocities in Kashmir in the House of Commons and present Pakistan’s stance on the issue,” he said.
“Pakistan will continue to extend its political, moral and diplomatic support to Kashmiris for their right to self-determination in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions,” the minister said.
On the other hand – In a telephonic conversation with senior Kashmiri leadership – he said on Kashmir Solidarity Day, Pakistan will raise strong voice to highlight Indian persecution and brutalities being perpeterated in occupied Kashmir.
FM Qureshi said that Pakistan would continue to extend its political, moral and diplomatic support for the struggle of Kashmiris for their right to self determination in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions.
